Portsmouth, R.I. (August 6, 2015) – The 43rd Buzzards Bay Regatta, hosted by New Bedford Yacht Club, will once again play host to a bevy of outstanding racing in 12 highly competitive classes this Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9. For the first time in history, the U.S. Multihull Championship for the Hobie Alter Trophy will be decided at the 2015 Buzzards Bay Regatta.
This US Sailing National Championship will be contested in Formula 18 multihull sailboats for the third time since 2008. The Hobie Alter Trophy will be presented to the highest placing eligible competitor in the F-18 fleet. Racing will take place in Padanaram Harbor in Buzzards Bay.
