The Safe Powerboat Handling Instructor course in Wickford, Rhode Island is an intensive 3-day program designed for advanced powerboat operators. It focuses on teaching techniques, powerboat handling skills, risk management, and emergency procedures. The course includes both classroom and on-the-water instruction, covering topics like navigation, docking, and safety protocols.
Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will be certified to teach Accelerated and Safe Powerboat Handling courses.

Prerequisites for this course are:
- Safe Powerboat Handling course completion at the student level
- Swimming ability with and without a lifejacket
- Current US Sailing Individual, College, or Family Membership
- Minimum 18 years old
- Completion of the Teaching and Coaching Fundamentals Online course
- CPR, First Aid training
- SafeSport certification
