BRISTOL, RI (March 21, 2025) – US Sailing has announced the dates and location of the 2025 U.S. Youth Championship, to be hosted by Lauderdale Yacht Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on October 10-13, 2025. The U.S. Youth Championship, also known as the “Youth Champs,” is US Sailing’s pinnacle youth regatta, featuring the top sailors ages 19 and under in seven boat classes: Formula Kite, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, International 420, iQFOiL Youth, and Nacra 15.
“US Sailing is thrilled for the U.S. Youth Championship to be hosted by Lauderdale Yacht Club for the first time” said Malinda Crain, Chair of US Sailing’s Youth Championships Committee. “LYC’s excellent sailing conditions, regatta management, and onshore amenities are a perfect fit for US Sailing’s premier youth regatta.”

The 2025 U.S. Youth Championship will also serve as the selection event for the 2025 Youth Sailing World Championships. The top eligible finisher in each of the Youth Worlds classes (listed below) will be selected by US Sailing’s International Selection Committee (ISC) to represent the United States at the 54th Youth Sailing World Championship to be held in Vilamoura, Portugal on December 12-20, 2025:
