US Sailing Releases Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games Athlete Selection Criteria

Portsmouth, R.I. – Following approval by the US Olympic Committee (USOC), the US Olympic Sailing Committee (OSC) has released complete athlete selection procedures for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games. The Games will run from July 10-26, 2015, with the sailing events running from July 13-19 across 10 classes.

The top eligible team at the following events will qualify for the Pan American Games if the US has qualified as a country in the class.

 

    •    RS:X (Windsurfer, Men). Selection Event: 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami (January 24-31, 2015)

    •    RS:X (Windsurfer, Women). Selection Event: 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami  (January 24-31, 2015)

    •    Sunfish (Single-handed Dinghy, Open). Selection Event: 2015 Sunfish Mid-Winters (Melbourne, Fla., March 20-22, 2015)

    •    Laser (Single-handed Dinghy, Men). Selection Event: 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami  (January 24-31, 2015)

    •    Laser Radial (Single-handed Dinghy, Women). Selection Event: 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami  (January 24-31, 2015)

    •    Hobie 16 (Multihull, Open). Selection Event: 2014 North Americans (Lewes, Del., September 22-26, 2014)

    •    Lightning (Multi-crewed Dinghy, Mixed). Selection Event: 2015 Winter Championships (St. Petersburg, Fla., March 12-15, 2015)

    •    Snipe (Double-handed Dinghy Open). Selection Event: Pan American Games Trials (San Diego, Calif., October 11-13, 2014)

    •    49er FX (Double Handed Skiff, Women). Selection Event: 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami  (January 24-31, 2015)

    •    J24 (Keelboat, Open). Selection Event: Pan American Games Trials (Tampa, Fla. February 27-March 1, 2015)
